November’s Charity Selection Helps Find Homes for Abandoned Pets!

November 2, 2011 — CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Girlfriends Films is donating $1000 to Best Friends Animal Society on behalf of popular lesbian erotica performer Jelena Jensen. The monetary gift is the November selection for Girlfriend’s Films monthly charity program. Past charities include Lambda Legal, NPR, Cancer Research Institute, and more. “Anyone who knows me, knows what a huge animal lover I am,” states Jelena. “I’m also a huge proponent of spaying and neutering pets, as well as adopting pets rather than buying bred animals. I own two giant breed rescue dogs, one of which is a special needs dog. His previous owners were told to put him down because ‘no one would take a 150 pound dog with known health problems.’ Thankfully, they sought out a rescue that would take him without putting him down. A week later, I fell in love with him and took him home, huge medical costs and all. He almost missed out on a very loving and fulfilling life, but was thankfully given a chance.”

Jelena continues, “I love Best Friends Animal Society’s No More Homeless Pets campaign where they spray and neuter animals, as well as set up foster and adoption programs around the country. Their sanctuaries take in dogs, cats and other animals in need of special care, so one day they will be able to be adopted. Music has always been one of my great loves. I think it stems from listening to so much of it in the womb. My parents were LA Sunset Strip party kids so I did spend my time in the womb out on the strip A LOT. I’m guessing from hearing live rock music all the time created a strong love for it. I also say this because I’m more of a rock girl than anything else…I love ’60s garage rock, ’70s old school punk, all forms of ’80s rock, ’90s alt rock and all the current indie rock. But I was raised by my grandparents and all they listened to was country and Elvis. The reasoning why I believe it all took place in the womb.

A little over 5 years ago I got my first ipod as a Christmas gift. At the time, I started to upload my cd collection into my computer to put on my ipod. I must’ve gotten too busy because I never finsihed! I’d have to say that I only got about two thirds of the way through my 300+ cds. When I moved from my loft to my house back in 2006, I packed up all my cds in boxes and that’s where they called home until a few days ago. I unpacked them all, organized them and put all the ones into my computer that hadn’t made it back in 2006. And the funny thing is I actually came across a few that I’d never even opened and/or listened to! It’s like Christmas all over again!

I’m currently listening to Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins. This is one of the cds that I just imported into my computer and that I haven’t listed to in over 5 years! It’s amazing how songs and/or albums can bring back so many feelings and memories. For instance, when I first moved back to LA to live with my grandparents during my freshman year of high school, I bought this double disc album shortly thereafter, and I literally listened to it every night to fall asleep to. Takes me back to a time when both of my grandparents were still alive and times were good. At that time, when I was 14, The Smashing Pumpkins was one of my absolute favorite bands. My grandfather, liking nothing to do with rock, always refered to them as the “Busting Gourds.” So funny. But he was a good sport with having to listen to my music all the time.

The Smashing Pumpkins actually did a tour for this album and didn’t want to deal with Ticketmaster, so they did used their own method for selling tickets. Three hours before tickets went on sale, they announced over the radio where they would be selling them. I happened to be listening to the radio that day after school when they started listing off ticket sales locations. All were pretty far away but then they announced they were going to sell tickets at Rhino Records in Claremont! I was ecstatic! Thankfully I was able to convince my grandfather to drive me to Rhino Records and stand in line with me for tickets. Since I’d just moved, I didn’t really have any friends to go with, so I bought just one ticket and went alone. They played at The Palace in Hollywood (which is now Avalon) and my grandparents drove me there, dropped me off and picked me up that night after the show. Yes, I went to a show alone at the age of 14…that’s how much I loved The Smashing Pumpkins. And it was an amazing show…general admission and only 1000 tickets sold per show. I was right at the front of the stage directly in front of James Iha, the guitarist.

I plan on selling off a bunch of my cds because I don’t really have much use for them now that they’re all in my computer and backed up. They just take up space. But certain ones that have a lot of meaning and hold memories for me, I may just have to hold onto. I’m a little sentimental like that.

I know I’ve said it before but I’m going to say it again…Girlfriends Films is my favorite company to work for! And they obviously love working with me as well as they’ve been hiring me every time I come to LA! So far three releases have come out featuring me…and not only am I featured in the DVD, but I’m also on all three covers! Here are all the titles that are out so far…

Lesbian House Hunters Part 5 contains my first scene for Girlfriends Films. I was lucky enough to shoot with the super sexy Dana DeArmond! I’d been wanting to shoot with her for a long time and it was more than I could have hoped for. You’re going to love this scene like everyone else that’s already seen it!

Women Seeking Women Vol 68 is something that everyone on the Girlfriends Films forum has been waiting for. Everyone wanted to see me and Sara Stone shoot a scene together…and I’m sure they’re all happy with what came of the pairing. We had a super sweet and passionate scene together. It’s a must-see for big natural boob lovers!

Imperfect Angels 10 is a must-see if you’re a fan of mine! Because not only am I in a scene with superstar Andy San Dimas, but I’m also in a scene with naturally big busted Avy Scott! I hand picked both women myself and can’t tell you how much I enjoyed both these scenes! You have to see this one!

I haven’t attended the Adult Entertainment Expo or the AVN awards in 5 years! Considering I haven’t really worked much for other companies, especially video companies, in almost that amount of time, I didn’t really have a reason to go, nor have I been nominated for anything. I was nominated for an AVN award at the 2006 awards, but it was a foot fetish video that was solely comprised of me in a softcore role and I was up against all hardcore videos. As I’m sure you’re able to figure out, I didn’t win the award. But it was nice to have been nominated!

Here we are five years later and I’m nominated again. This I’m sure has to do with the fact that I’m working a lot in the biz again now that I’m shooting hardcore girl/girl for other companies and I’m also shooting boy/girl for my site. But not only have I been nominated for Best Web Star, I’ve also been nominated for Favorite Body, which is voted by the fans. This is where I need your help! Only about 40 women from the business we chosen for this category and I’m up against a lot of girls who shoot a lot and are very popular. I just got back from a week-long vacation in NYC and I’m sick. I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later because it seems like everyone is getting it right now. I usually get sick around Thanksgiving so I’m not really surprised. By being in NYC, I probably increased my chances because I was taking public transportation everywhere (subway, cabs) and being on a plane all the way across the country is always a risk…it’s like a germ capsule! Anyways, I’ve been taking it easy and working on my laptop in bed…trying to let my body rest and fight this bug as fast as possible. Good thing is it’s giving me the chance to catch up on my blog writing!

I did want to talk about being on the Howard Stern show last month. I’ve been waiting a very long time to get on the show and I was thrilled when Penthouse asked me to be on the show to participate in the annual Penthouse Pet Pageant. They chose three of us to go on the show…me, Isis Taylor the September 2010 Pet and Sabrina Maree the December 2010 Pet. I had never met either girl so it was nice to meet some more fellow Pets. I flew in the day before the show and didn’t land in NYC until about 9pm. Sabrina and I shared a room so we got to know each other a little and bonded a bit. We had to be up really early…not only did we have to be ready to leave the hotel at 6:30am…but that was really 3:30am to us since we just flew from the west coast! We only got a few hours of sleep but we were total pros!

Being on Stern was better than I expected. People were painting this picture of Howard and the show as being a little aggressive towards the girls. But I didn’t find that to be true whatsoever! Everyone on the show was SO nice and super cordial to all of us. I had a great time and can’t wait to see the copy that they sent me! For the pageant, every girl has to do an audible talent portion…it has to be audible since the show is a radio show. I was initially asked if I could sing or play a musical instrument…neither of which I can really do. I hate singing and it’s been years since I played an instrument. So I got to thinking and came up with the idea of writing a poem about Howard and the show. This way it was still an audible talent yet I didn’t have to sing or play something. I didn’t have a lot of time prior to the show to write my poem, so I did my research the day before I left to NYC and then actually wrote the poem on the plane! I’ll post the poem later for you all to read…I have to find where I put it!

Sabrina Maree, Isis Taylor and Me at the Howard Stern Show

I didn’t win…Sabrina won. But I did come in second place! At least Robin voted for me…us big boobied women stick together! After our appearance on Stern we cruised over to the Luis Jimenez show for a bit. That show is crazy but TONS of fun! It’s a Spanish speaking program but they just translated what we said for the listeners. I did take three and a half years of Spanish back in school, but my conversational Spanish is just not that great! Isis had to leave after that since she was headed to Exotica NJ, so me and Sabrina visited the Penthouse offices and then went to lunch. Thankfully we were able to take a nap in the middle of the day, as we had two more radio shows to do that night. I went to dinner with Lainie, Penthouse’s publicist, that evening and then Sabrina met up with us for the last two shows. We were guests on The Derek & Romaine Show as well as The Scott Ferrall Show…both are shows on Sirius Radio. The former is a gay/lesbian show, which was a lot of fun…and the latter is a sports show and Scott is hilarious! He even wore my bra on his head for a portion of the show!

All in all I had a great time! I love representing Penthouse and really enjoy doing radio. It was a very short trip but a lot was crammed into that small frame of time. Can’t wait to do it again!
